Assignment 2 - Make These Shapes

After playing around with Rhino and creating a 3D model of a castle, we are now taking a step back and learning other Tools and Commands with 2D shapes.
Some of the Commands we learned were: Trim, Rotate, Polygon (Star), Arc (Tangent), Explode, Fillet (FilletCrv), Array

Our next assignment was to "Make These Shapes" from a photo document provided by Bryan.

The shapes were quite easy for me to follow and create until I fell upon on the 5th row of Circles and Offsets. Now, I do know what I have to do to make that flower like shape, and making an OFFSET copy of it. Although for some reason it wasn't offsetting the whole flower. I attempted to troubleshoot by using the JOIN command to attach all the lines together, but for some reason I couldn't figure out why it was not working.
I decided to start over and make that shape all over again, and to my luck, it finally worked!

My last struggle during this assignment was once again OFFSET for the last row. I know how it works but for some reason OFFSET does not want to cooperate with me. I thought I figured out a solution by offsetting each component of the shape, I was wrong. ..
Okay, turns out I was right and I doubted myself, I think I just had to make the circles smaller in order to have the spaces between them. I asked a friend who was pretty experienced in a different 3d Programing and did the exact same thing I did.
I feel like I should give myself more credit for problem-solving my struggles :)

Here is my final product in "Pen" view:
